Located outside of Hue is the Pilgrimage Village offering peace and tranquillity in a country setting, ideal for those who are not keen on a busy central city location. All of the rooms are styled quite individually with a private garden and some with a small pool as well. A good peaceful hotel, but it is a 30 minute drive from the city, so it can be a little isolated.

Probably the best hotel in Hanoi, the luxurious and colonial Sofitel Metropole located right in the heart of the city is perfect if you like exploring a little on foot as well. This French colonial style hotel deep in the Mekong Delta will be either your last or first stop in this region, and what a hotel it is. The location could not be better to experience real river life. Most of the rooms have balconies so you can enjoy views of the river below, the restaurant specialises in Asian and European food and won’t disappoint. From here you are just hours way from Phnom Penh by their fast boat and your Cambodian adventure begins.

Located on the stunning white sandy beach, about a 10 minute drive outside of Hoi An, the Victoria Hoi An is perfect to blend a little culture and beach in one town. A couple of nights at the Anantara then spend a few nights here relaxing on a quiet stretch of beach.
