Ho Chi Minh City – Where To Stay


Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, was also the capital of the short-lived South Vietnamese Government until the Americans withdrew from the country in 1975. Ho Chi Minh City is still referred to as Saigon by its inhabitants.

Park Hyatt

Located in central Ho Chi Minh, the Park Hyatt is the most luxurious hotel in the city allowing you easy access to all the sights and sounds of this exciting city. The contemporary designed rooms all have stunning views over the city or an upgrade to a pool view is well worth the treat, with several restaurants serving some of the best French, Italian and Vietnamese food you will find in the city. Caravelle

Across form the Opera House, the Caravelle Hotel built back in the 1950’s and quickly became very popular along with the Rex as the place for reporters to stay especially for the rooftop bar that is still very popular today.


Liberty Central

The Liberty Central is a good 4 star hotel located in the heart of the city, with easy access to the rest of the city. The modern rooms all have superb views over the city and have good facilities. The hotel is located near to an entertainment district where you will be able to sample some very good Vietnamese food, as with most hotels the food is sometimes not as good as it should be. The pool is great for when you return back after a day of sightseeing for a refreshing dip.


Majestic Hotel

Towering above the Saigon river, the Majestic is a French colonial hotel, built in 1925, the colonial style rooms are decorated the same and all have fantastic views, but the Saigon River rooms have the best views and well worth the small extra upgrade.
