Pashan Garh

Pashan Garh is a Taj Safaris / &Beyond lodge located a few miles outside the Panna National Park, on top of a small hill with fantastic views over the forest and a large waterhole.  The lodge comprises 12 stylish cottages built from local stone clustered around a central courtyard, set amongst giant banyan trees.   Only 31km away are the  10th-century sandstone temples of Khajuraho, now a World Heritage Site.
Panna National Park, located along the banks of the Ken River, features deep ravines, cascading waterfalls and thick teak forests.  Tiger sightings are pretty low in this park at present, resulting in slightly lower visitor numbers, but the birdwatching is excellent and there is plenty of other wildlife including wild boar, sambar deer, various cats and the Indian crocodile.  Boat trips may be available on the picturesque Ken River, where crocodiles are often spotted.

Pashan Garh is located a few miles outside the park, set in 190 private hilltop acres.  The lodge comprises 12 spacious stone cottages clustered around a central courtyard, amongst giant banyan trees.   The central guest area features enormous black and white photo canvasses of dramatic Panna landscapes, an infinity pool and a lookout tower with breathtaking views.  The cottages have rough dry stone walls and sleek and stylish interiors.  For a cultural excursion, the lodge is only 31km from the erotic sculptures of the intricately carved 10th-century sandstone temples of Khajuraho, now a World Heritage Site.

Game drives are offered mornings (0600-1030) and afternoons (1500-1800), except on Wednesday afternoons - this is a good time to enjoy a spa treatment, visit a local village or  just relax in the lodge. The vehicles here are open TATA 4x4s with tiered seating for 6 guests.  Elephant safaris and nature walks may be available.
